More Me

OK. Lets try this again. A little more on me what what I want to do here.

I've been in the Navy for 19+ years and was fortunate enough a couple of years ago to be Selected as and Inducted as a Chief Petty Officer. For most of my time in the Navy I've been in the Aviation side of things and all of my time at sea has been spent on aircraft carriers. I don't intend this to be a Mil Blog, but I'm sure that at some point I will blog on topics that are Navy or military specific. If I do I'll try my best to warn you. Maybe I'll post a disclaimer "Warning Military Content". Also be assured that being in the Navy has definitely influenced (warped) my sense of humor and perspective on things.

I also believe that I fall into a rapidly growing minority population. I've been married for 15 years and I am on my first and hopefully only wife. We have 2 sets of kids. 3 older kids who are technically my step kids. I've never thought of them that way. 1 boy and 2 girls. All over the age of 21. Included in that set of kids is one really cool grand kid. Now I will go on the record right now and say that I am not old enough to have grand kids (still under 40) I will say in the same breath though that you really can't beat grand kids. The other set are our kids. 2 boys ages 7 and 5 who keep me more entertained than you could imagine.

I am big into politics and news, but I will try not to indoctrinate you with my one sided points of view. Now, that's not to say it won't come out. Because I'm sure it will, well I know it will. After all this is MY blog. If you have something to say then either get your own blog or add a comment. If you do that then at least I'll know if some one is actually reading this.

I read a lot of news, most of it I read from the "New Media". If I watch news on TV it's usually only local news. After that it's what ever I can find that will make me laugh or something on Discovery or Food Network.
