We all remember where we were and what we were doing. That's important. Very important. A lot of our citizenry want to trivialize today.
Don't let them.
Don't put up with it.
Don't tolerate it.
Today is about remembering what happened.
All the souls that are no longer with us. Why? Because the people that we hired to protect us were complacent. Those same people are the ones that want us to forget and will try to blame us.
Don't let them.
Don't put up with it.
Don't tolerate it.
Remember what happened. How you felt. Remember.

Just read a story in the Boston Globe about how the teachers are looking on this as a "teachable moment." I would love to know how they will handle this "teachable moment" in a country where printing of the photos from that day is suppressed.
I remember. And I help my students remember, too. Even those who weren't born then.
Remembered.
