WHAT WAS I THINKING

Decided to go to the Freshman football game and watch my friends son play. No biggie right? You'd think that a game that started at 5pm, then I'd have a fairly good chance of getting home at a decent hour right? Wrong. Didn't crawl into bed until 11:30. First the game was an hour away in Reno. Then a quick stop at a hospital to check on an injured player, store then dinner at Olive Garden.

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. I probably am. But as I told my friend, I don't need beauty sleep. I need grouch sleep. If I don't eat or get enough sleep, I get grouchy. The eating thing is medical, at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. The sleep thing is pretty universal to all of us I think. If we don't get enough sleep we get grouchy. With me it tends to be a little more amplified. If I am grouchy then that filter between the brain and the mouth doesn't work as well. I tend to say what I think before it has a chance to get filtered in to something civil. So when that happens I tend to be more quiet then usual. Not because I have nothing to say, it's just the stuff I do have to say can be misconscrewed as rude or grouchy. It's a horrible cycle and hard to break.

This is why I try to go be to bed early. Eat regularly and TRY to watch what I say.
